Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How much will it cost to have my garden maintained?

A. This depends on the size of your garden and the service you require and will be explained in your written quotation, but with prices from only £39 per month it's probably a lot less than you imagined!

Q. How will my payments work?

A. We have two payment options available.
  • 1st Option: The cost of your annual garden maintenance is calculated and divided into 12 equal amounts so you know exactly how much to budget for each and every month.
  • 2nd Option: As we will maintain your garden on a weekly basis during the Spring and Summer months, April – September, and fortnightly during the Autumn and Winter months, October – March, we can calculate your monthly payments based on the amount of work carried out. For example, if your garden maintenance costs are on average £39 over 12 months, for the 2nd payment option this would be £51 during the 6 Spring & Summer months and £27 over the 6 Autumn & Winter months.

Q. When will I need to pay?

A. You will be required to pay one month’s fee in advance and thereafter we will invoice you on a monthly basis. Invoices will be delivered at the end of each month and payment is required within 7 days.

Q. What do I get for my monthly payment?

This can vary but in most cases we will do the following:
  • Grass Cutting
  • Strimming
  • Beds kept weed-free
  • Hard standing areas kept weed-free
  • Shrubs and trees pruned when needed
  • Lawns treated with weed and feed application twice per year
  • Rubbish removed
  • Supplying all machinery and tools

Q. How many visits will I get each month?

A. This depends on your requirements but in most cases you will get one visit every week in Spring and Summer and once a fortnight in the Winter.

Q. What happens during bad weather?

A. If we are unable to visit due to bad weather conditions, we make the time up on the next visit.

Q.. What happens if I no longer require your services?

A. You can cancel our service at any time by giving one month’s notice, however once the service has been cancelled it is our policy not to recommence work at a later date.

I have used Horticare for many years on two of my properties and cannot fault their excellent service. I even asked them to redesign my garden and was amazed by the results I even had people knocking at my door asking to have a look !!! Their maintenance charges are very reasonable and they come in all weathers to fulfil their end of the bargain.

Mrs Collis says...

I am very pleased to confirm that I have been a customer of Horticare for the past five years. During which time phil deller and his team have tended our gardens on a weekly basis. We were introduced to them by our daughter who booked us a renovation of our garden as a Christmas present. Horticare from then on have tended our garden with great care and attention and have always been extremely professional and knowledgeable. Recently they undertook some more work for us, altering and revamping parts of our garden and the result is – as always – immaculate. I have no hesitation in recommending Horticare as high quality company able to undertake all your gardening and landscaping needs.

Mike Wakefield says...

Horticare cleans and maintains the landscaped areas of several industrial estates and office developments on behalf of various landlord clients. Their annual maintenance prices are very competitive, response times excellent and they have the necessary expertise. Besides ongoing annual maintenance horticares attention to both new planting schemes and remedial work has always been on budget and to plan. Working with Horticare the presentation standards of many local sites have been improved within a short time.
